Skin Deep: Movements Issue launch

The Stuart Hall Foundation invites you to celebrate the release of Skin Deep's newest print issue, MOVEMENTS. Please join us for a launch party on Saturday 24 November at Goldsmiths, in New Cross. It will feature performances, conversations and readings from contributors, music and food

With the support of the Stuart Hall Foundation, Skin Deep has brought together investigative pieces, interviews, essays, conversations, reflections and creative responses to what’s moving the world. The MOVEMENTS issue goes deep into the lesser-known histories of black and brown activism in the UK and beyond. These movements are physical, geographical, political, and emotional. Featuring work by Shailja Patel, Akasha Rabut, Joshua Idehen, Patrisse Khan Cullors, Anna Himali Howard, Afua Hirsch, the Indigenous Environmental Network and Gary Younge, the issue is a tribute to those who came before, and a guide for those who will come after.

Tickets are £7, £9, £12, depending on what you can afford, and include a brand new copy of the print issue. Read more information and purchase your ticket here:

Looking forward to seeing you there!
